Culture - " Pay Day "

The Group was led by songwriter Joseph Hill, who had started his career at Studio One as a member of the Soul Defenders, releasing one solo single "Behold The Land". With Albert Walker and Kenneth Dayes providing the harmonies the trio would get huge success in 1976 with the single "Two Seven Clash" and an album with the same name for Joe Gibbs. With international acclaim Virgin Records have signed a contract with the trio and released "Harder Than Rest" 1978, "Cumbolo" and International Herb" both in 1979. In 1982 Joseph Hill split with his two backing singers and continues to use the name Culture on his records. "Pay Day" on RAS / CRS is his new 2000 project, full of positive vibes specially on songs like "Leagalization", "Hav E Hav E", "Do Something For Yourself", "Good Times" and "The Boss", sure will  remember you the 70’s, produced by Clive Hunt and Joseph Hill, recorded at Tuff Gong, Mixing Lab & Selietion in Kingston Jamaica.
