Errol "Skippa" Blackwood was born in The Accompong (Marron) Hills f Mulgrave - Jamaica. In 1972 he migrated to Toronto, Canadá, where he began performing a mixture of Reggae, R&B, and Rock in various clubs. Versatile artist, he sings, composes, play guitar and bass. In 1980 he formed with Rupert Harvey a band called "Messenjah". Their independent release "Rock You High" caught the attention of Canada's WEA Records who signed with the group in 1982. Quickly they became one of the most respect bands in Canadá. After a nomination for "Most Promising Group of the year" in 1985, Errol began a solo career. His first EP have been released in 1987, "Chant Chant". In 1990 he released his first album, "Warrior" have been nominated "Best Album Of The Year" by The Canadian Reggae Awards. This year have been released the enjoyable "Roots & Lovers Connection", a project full of positive vibes, romantic songs and as well conscious lyrics. All the songs written and produced by Errol himself.
