Ossie Dellimore has born in the Island of St. Vincent, but since 1981 he lives in Brooklyn, New York. On November 2, 1990 he won the "Caribbean Amateur Night" contest at the legendary Apollo Theater. Performing in various venues over New York city, have been necessary seven years for he could show his real value on a recording. In 1997 he recorded his first 7' single, "Time Has Come" for Easy Star Records. The song would be include on the first brilliant Various Artists compilation of this young label, Easy Star Vol. 1. Versatility is one of the Ossie's virtudes, he plays Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Harmonica and Bamboo Flute. The Wailers, Lucky Dube, Burning Spear, Israel Vibration and Steel Pulse are his strongest influences. Three years after his first 7' single, August 2000 have been the moment to show to the world his debut album, "Freedom's Journal". Ossie has wrote all the songs, played Lead Guitar and Percussion and also produced this incredible project. Blessed voice (some times it remembers me Peter Tosh), strong conscious lyrics, the melodies sure will penetrate in your mind and make you feel irie. No weak track can be found on this album, i only can say that is a - CLASSIC.
No doubt the "Time Has Come" to Ossie Dellimore.
